Oncoming Halos

Marjorie Power grew up in Stamford, Connecticut. She graduated from San Francisco State College in 1969 and did graduate work in the Oral Interpretation of Literature at the University of Washington. Her first full-length collection was Living with It (Wampeter Press, 1983); a second, Seven Parts Woman, appeared from WordTech Editions in 2016. In between, her poems have been collected in six chapbooks—Birds on Discovery Island (Main Street Rag Publishing Company); Faith in the Color Turquoise (Pudding House); The Complete Tishku (Lone Willow Press), and three others from small presses—as well as many journals and anthologies. She lives with her husband, Max, in Denver, Colorado. They have two sons and six grandchildren. Marjorie can be found on the web.
